So I'm totally not going to get this Mc/C story finished by Monday because I am busy reading free books on my Kindle. La la la la. See, Amazon has a bunch of the first books of various series available for free on the Kindle, presumably so you will then be hooked. This morning Amazon delivered me Victory of Eagles, the new Temeraire book (Book 5, not that it says that anywhere on the cover). Naturally, I have read it already. I wish I hadn't read it so fast, because now it's all gone. And it was awesome.

One of the local used bookstores is closing (boo!) so it's having a 40% off sale (yay!). And you know what this means: used books.

Today I went to the library and got out the last Sword of Truth book. Man, those books have really gone downhill. Apparently at my mother's I still have the first five-ish of them in hardcover.
